First of all, if you want to check out my last post where I dig into a bit more of the why I switched, how I installed the OS, and more, check below:

As for the follow up, well I think I finally have my thoughts together on what I like, don’t like, and where I found the middle ground between privacy, security, and usability.

I will be breaking things down into a few categories, so feel free to jump to each spot and tell me about your experiences in each category. I’ll also be adding a few “pop-out” sections where I call out issues I have had in the category and how I resolved them, so keep an eye out there.

Example of a “pop-out” section. Got it? Good.

Overall Satisfaction

The short answer is: I’m still using it, so obviously it’s worked for me as a daily driver for over a year. I use social media, text and call my friends, browse the web, and I do it with ease. Just like the rest of ya.

I’ll also be the first to say that my tolerance for annoying phone issues and app incompatibility is quite high and my day job in the tech world gives me a bit of a leg up in dealing with said issues but the fact is they have been very minor and often self inflicted.

I’ll get into that a bit further on.

Security, Privacy, & Updates

Top notch. Don’t believe me? Check out their update release site and just look at how often they patch and how many changes come with each one:
